Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
If you are a Brantford Power customer, and in a low-income home, you may qualify for a reduction on your electricity bill through the Ontario Electricity Support Program.
The OESP could reduce the cost of your household electricity by applying a monthly credit directly to your bill.
If your home is electrically heated, or you rely on an approved medical device requiring a lot of electricity, you could be eligible for additional credit.
To learn if you are eligible for this provincial program, please visit the program application page or call 1-855-831-8151. Assistance with OESP applications is also available through our local agency partner, the Family Counselling Centre of Brant at 54 Brant Avenue.

Know your Rights
The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has set out customer services rules for electricity utilities, including special rules for low-income customers.
Brantford Power is compliant with these rules, and we encourage all customers to know their rights. Visit https://www.oeb.ca/consumer-protection/rules-electricity-utilities to learn more.
To avoid disconnection, it is important to contact us as soon as you receive that notice. Do not delay.
The quickest way to keep your electricity connected is by paying your outstanding balance. But, if you cannot pay the amount you owe, you have the option of setting up an Arrears Management Plan that will allow you to repay your debt over a period of time. It does not excuse you from paying the amount owed or from paying your new bill.
Payments may be made at most financial institutions, by cash, cheque, VISA or MasterCard, by mail, or dropped off at our 24-hour deposit box at 220 Colborne Street, Brantford. Late payment interest charges, calculated at the rate of 19.56% per year, may be applied to your account. Payments must be received by our office to cancel the interruption.
Options are available. For assistance, or to discuss your account, please contact our Customer Service Department at (519) 751-3522.
