Temporary Fixed Electricity Price in effect from January 1-28, 2021
The Ontario Government has taken steps to hold the price of electricity at 8.5 ¢/kWh for electricity used from January 1 until the end of the day on January 28, 2021. Residential, small business and farm customers on Time-of-Use and Tiered price plans set under the Ontario Energy Board’s Regulated Price Plan will pay that fixed price. The price change will happen automatically. No customer action is required. For more information, visit oeb.ca
Customer Choice
If you’re a residential or small business customer that pays Time-of-Use (TOU) electricity prices, you can choose to switch to Tiered prices as of November 1, 2020. If you want to continue paying TOU prices, no action is required. If you want to switch, you need to complete a Customer Choice Election Form found on our Customer Choice page.
