Brantford Power Warns Business Customers About Telephone Scam

Brantford Power is warning customers to be aware of a telephone scam targeting businesses in the area. Businesses in Brantford have reported receiving fraudulent telephone calls from an organization falsely claiming to be Brantford Power.

The caller demands immediate account payment within 30 minutes and threatens disconnection of power service. Brantford Power does not demand immediate payment or disconnect customers without prior notice. Customers who receive a suspicious phone call should hang up and not provide payment or share any personal information.
